Keynote Speaker

Dudley Edmonson

For more than a decade now, Dudley Edmondson has been a pioneering role model for African-Americans in the outdoors, as he’s spent more than a decade now trying to make the outdoors more inclusive. He is also the author of the landmark book “Black and Brown Faces in America’s Wild Places” The book was his way of creating a set of “Outdoor Role Models” for the nation’s African American communities.

Mr. Edmondson has also been watching birds for over 4 decades. Few things bring him more joy than a spring hike in the woods to see migrants singing in the trees. In that time he’s had a career as a professional wildlife photographer, author, public speaker and Filmmaker. Be inspired by Edmondson’s story and beautiful images from Minnesota and beyond.
